Time Usage and Privacy Policy

Refund Policy
When time for service is purchased, client agree there are no refunds for unused times, as agreed to by paying their invoice; however, unused time is always available for future use by client up to one year from date of purchase. If after 12 months have elapsed and sessions are not used, clients agree that all unused time is then forfeited.
Delivery of Services
Client understands and agree that they are paying for consulting services. Client further agrees that there is no physical product for delivery, neither is there any item to be shipped. Further, client agree to hold service provider harmless for any missed sessions by the client and agree that all sessions will be tracked using the Skype application and Remote Utilities Event Tracking as proof of service provided.
Bonus Session
Some packages include receiving a bonus session free with the following conditions. Clients will receive a free bonus session when there is no more than one cancellation used by client in a package. This policy is effective starting September 1st. 2023.
Technology Requirements
Client agrees it is their responsibility to have a personal computer for virtual meetings using Skype and Remote Utilities applications. Client further agree that they are responsible for having internet services with at least 50 megabits per second (MBPS) of download speed and 10 MBPS or more of upload speed during sessions. Client also agree to allow service provider access to their computer using the aforementioned applications only during scheduled sessions and in the presence of the client. After which, client agree to turn off access to their computer by shutting down the remote utility remote access application.
Communication
Clients are encouraged to communicate any unexpected event that causes lateness, cancellation, or the rescheduling of a session. Acceptable forms of communication includes email (coachsupport@alleyneacademics.com), voicemail, or text message. Leaving a message on the message area of Skype is never acceptable since coaches are not always available by Skype.
Cancellation Policy
Clients are allowed to cancel a scheduled appointment once during a 5-session package and twice during a 10-session package with proper notice. Proper notice means at least 6 hours prior to scheduled session. Cancellations otherwise will only be honored at the discretion of the coach.
For all packages, clients may reschedule within the same week (if available) to avoid a cancellation charge. All cancellations will be at the discretion of the coach.
Rescheduling Appointments
Clients may reschedule an appointment during the same week and avoid using cancellations (if available). Rescheduling an appointment should therefore be carefully assessed before requesting such. If an appointment is rescheduled, and later cancelled, clients will be charged for the cancelled session regardless of the reason for a second cancellation of an original appointment.
Late Policy
If a client expects to run late for a scheduled appointment, clients must communicate expected lateness prior to the start of the session. Clients may call and leave a voicemail, text, or email expected lateness and the length of the lateness. If client expects to be more than 30 minutes late, client may choose to use their cancellation option, or try to reschedule the session. If neither option is available, client may appear late and work for the balance of the time left in the session. If client is more than 60 minutes late, the session is automatically cancelled and client is charged in accordance with the cancellation policy.
Automatic Cancellation Policy
Automatic cancellation occurs when clients are late and do not communicate expected lateness up to 15 minutes past the scheduled appointment. Cancellation occurs without notice immediately resulting in a charge for the session. In the case of an emergency, clients may have someone else communicate the situation. If communication is not possible, any consideration for rescheduling is at the discretion of the coach. Sending cancellations between 10pm EST and 6am EST are not acceptable and will be treated as no notice.
Coach Cancel Policy
In the event a coach is late or cancels a scheduled appointment, there is no charge to a client for unused sessions. In the event of lateness, client’s time begins when the coach is available and ends 90 minutes later or 60 minutes later as scheduled. Clients have the right to reschedule an appointment without penalty in the event a coach is more than 15 minutes late. Unless humanly impossible, communications usually precede any expected lateness via email, voicemail, or text message. In the event a coach is more than 5 minutes late without communication, clients are encouraged to contact the coach by text or phone to make sure there are no miscommunications about the schedule.
Best use of time
Clients are encouraged to write down any questions for the coach in advance of a session to ensure addressing all client questions. Sessions are to provide guidance on subject matter expertise, methodology strategy, document formatting, and teaching of topics. Directions provided are beneficial for completing the best work possible on a topic that often include sentence structure and grammar, academic writing skills, clarity, and other critical thinking strategies. Clients are encouraged to ask questions, take notes, and ask for further clarifications when necessary. By being on time, clients benefit by using the entire session on advancement and for achieving academic goals.

Privacy Use Policy
No data collected will be shared with any other institution or entity for use and all data collected will be kept strictly confidential and only used for the purpose of providing coaching/consulting services to students.
